Enough Talk—Dak Prescott Just Proved to Jerry Jones He’ll Stop at Nothing for a Super Bowl Win

DAK Prescott has been in the lab putting in work to get the Dallas Cowboys back into playoff contention.

The Cowboys had a disappointing season in 2024, which was heavily affected by Prescott going down with injury.

Prescott partially tore his hamstring off the bone, leading to season-ending surgery.

However, he isn’t holding himself back as he gets ready for the 2025 season.

As he rehabs from his injury, Prescott has been shaving off weight and putting on muscle to become the best version of himself.

Some reports indicate that he has lost 33 pounds during his rehab process, and is in the gym to build muscle.

Cowboys executives are happy with the progress Prescott is making so far this offseason.

“Dak’s doing great,” executive vice president Stephen Jones told ESPN’s Todd Archer.

“He’s very thrilled with where he is, and I know the trainers are too.

“I feel like he’s doing a hell of a job.”

While Prescott is putting in the work to get better for the Cowboys, the team is similarly trying to improve for their quarterback.

Jones made it known that the team is on the hunt for more players to surround Prescott.

Jerry Jones breaks down in tears during Brian Schottenheimer’s Dallas Cowboys unveiling as fans ask ‘what’s going on?’

“We’re not done yet,” he said.

“We still got some things that are out standing that we’re trying to get done.

“Missed a few guys along the way too in terms of the number just being a lot higher than we thought it would be on a couple guys.

“Overall we’re real pleased with what we were able to do with our roster and help the team.”

Jones specifically pointed out a No. 2 wide receiver as a need for the team.

Dak Precott’s comeback season

The 2025 NFL season will be a pivotal year for both Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys.

I think this is the year that Prescott finally proves to the league and his haters that he is a top quarterback in the NFL. Even after he finished second in MVP voting in 2023 there were still doubts about his talent.

After going down with a season ending injury in 2024, Prescott has the chance to quiet all the noise by returning in 2025 and absolutely lighting up the competition.

If Jerry Jones can put in the work in the NFL Draft and get him some offensive help in the form of a wide receiver or running back, the Cowboys could have a stellar offense.

With a healthy Prescott for the full season, I am confident in the Cowboys’ ability to return to the playoffs.

“I really like our room,” he said.

“At the same time, obviously losing Brandin Cooks in free agency, we’re still open to looking at a really explosive No. 2 that could upgrade us.”

If Prescott can return to his 2023 form after the injury, the Cowboys could have a scary offense if they bring in a new weapon for him.

In 2023 he passed for 4,516 yards with 36 yards and finished second in MVP voting.

A productive year from Prescott could vault the Cowboys right back into playoff contention.
