NFL fans noticed a savage interaction between New York Jets star Sauce Gardner and Stefon Diggs’ little nephew.
The friendly back-and-forth took place at the NFL Pro Bowl games in Orlando, Florida.
Gardner is known for his trash talking toward his opponents.
But this time, the 23-year-old Jets cornerback was on the receiving end of banter from an unlikely individual.
On Friday, Gardner was with a group of NFL stars and Aaiden Diggs, the son of Dallas Cowboys star Trevon Diggs and nephew of the Bills wideout Stefon.
A video on social media captured Aaiden dapping up Gardner before sending a message to the Jets defensive back.
“You trying to talk trash about my Uncle (Stefon Diggs), I heard you. And look what happened. He scored on you in that week 1 game,” the youngster said.
Aaiden had referenced to Stefon’s touchdown in the Bills’ Week 1 season-opening loss to the Jets.
The group of NFL players all laughed at Diggs’ nephew’s words at Gardner, who replied, “I don’t remember that.If you say he did, he did.”
Gardner and Aaiden shook hands again as the latter told the NFL star, “I mess with you.”
NFL fans spotted the clip and were amused by the interaction, with one writing, “Little man cold for that.”
Stefon would record 10 catches for 102 yards in the Week 1 game.
However, the 30-year-old’s five yard touchdown came against a defending Jets safety Michael Carter II, not Gardner.
New York would win the contest after a walk-off punt return in overtime.
The Bills would win the rematch in Week 11 and go on to lose the Divisional Round playoff game against the Kansas City Chiefs, while the Jets missed the playoffs with a 7-10 record.
Gardner, a 2022 first-round pick, has earned First-Team All-Pro nominations and Pro Bowl selections in his first two seasons in his young career.
