BY Deebo Samuel’s side through the highs and lows of his NFL career has been his girlfriend, Mahogany Jones.
The San Francisco 49ers star receiver, 28, is set to star in the upcoming Netflix docuseries, Receiver.
Filmed throughout the 2023 NFL season, the eight-episode-long series will provide fans with a behind-the-scenes insight into the lives and careers of six star pass catchers – including Samuel.
Produced by the same team that created the series Quarterback, should the concepts be the same, fans will be introduced into the players’ home lives as well.
For Samuel, that would mean a front-and-center role for Mahogany.
The two have been linked since he was selected in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft out of South Carolina.
The 27-year-old previously earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
Mahogany went on to establish her own fashion brand, Shades of Mahogany.
She would regularly model their products, including glamorous lounge and swimwear.
While the brand appears to no longer be operational, having last posted on Instagram in September 2021, Magony’s work in the fashion world certainly did not stop there.
With 277,000 Instagram followers, she regularly posts glamorous content wearing high-end brands during her travels.
During Super Bowl LVIII, which the 49ers ultimately lost to the Kansas City Chiefs, she shared a series of adorable snaps alongside her and Samuels’ two-year-old son, Deebo Jr.
In the shots, they wore matching custom 49ers Samuel #19 letter jackets in front of the Super Bowl logo.
Mahogany and Deebo Jr. also wore matching white sneakers, in what was a post sponsored by DSW.
Deebo Jr. wearing 49ers colors at the Super Bowl brought to reality a wonderful image Samuel had mentioned when he found out they were expecting.
“When I found out I was pregnant I was nervous. I was scared, but he was so excited,” Mahogany said in 2022 in the Overtime SZN’s The Deebo Samuel Documentary.
“He said ‘I want him to be my little Deebo. He needs to be just like me. I can’t wait to dress him. We gonna dress like twins.'”
Mahogany and Deebo Jr. often attend games together, later sharing adorable side-by-side photos on her Instagram.
And this season, in a touching tribute to his son, Samuel has changed his jersey name and number to Samuel Sr. #1.
Following the announcement of this change, he took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share edited snaps of him in his new-look jersey, including one together with Deebo Jr.
