College basketball star Haley Cavinder went viral on TikTok this week for dancing alongside her boyfriend, Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson.
Cavinder’s video features Ferguson standing up straight with this caption over his head: “Oh you’re 6’5? Your gf must be so tall.” Cavinder then appears from behind him and starts dancing.
This video of Cavinder and Ferguson received well over 300,000 views. Some users on TikTok referred to them as “Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift 2.0.”
Cavinder and Ferguson went public with their relationship last fall. Unfortunately, some internet trolls treated her harshly once she shared this news with the rest of the world.
“I’m a confident girl, but when people are saying stuff about you — if you have a boyfriend and someone is talking about you online with your boyfriend… like coming at your features — I’m like, this is new and obviously Jake is a great guy, but you don’t want to be called ugly on the internet 24/7, and your boyfriend sees it,” Cavinder said, via the New York Post. “That’s not going to make anyone feel cool.
“So I had a mental breakdown, but that was a while ago. Honestly, I’m very confident and comfortable sharing my relationship because Jake was very loud about it.”
Cavinder seems to be living her best life at this point in time. We know she turned plenty of heads at this year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit runway show at Miami Swim Week.
After taking the 2023-24 season off, Cavinder will be eager to deliver for Miami next year.
Last time Cavinder was on the hardwood, she averaged 12.2 points and 4.9 rebounds per game for the Hurricanes.
