Philadelphia Eagles’ Lane Johnson is a lucky man whose spouse Chelsea Johnson was once called a “trophy wife.” The couple has three children together.
Lane Johnson is an Eagles offensive lineman and was forced to grow up fast on and off the field when he first started in the big league. Lane started every game as a rookie while starting a family simultaneously.
His wife Chelsea Johnson gave birth to the couple’s first child David Chase Johnson in August 2013, a day after his pre-season game.

Their child was born with clubfoot; a congenital disability Lane was born with. David was in a cast at six days old until he had corrective surgery at three months. Thankfully, he became a happy, healthy boy at ten months.
Lane said the entire experience was fast-paced, speaking on his new job and being a new dad. He stated that he had time to reflect on it a year later and that things eased up at that point because he settled in with everything else, adding:
“I feel like I was learning as you go. I feel like it’s a true light since having him, just learning to think of somebody else more than yourself.”

MARRIAGE TO CHELSEA
The Texas native shared there were a lot of guys in the league that were single and lived lavishly, “I feel like it’s nothing if you don’t have anybody to share it with,” he noted.
Lane and his wife have sports in common as they were both athletes at the University of Oklahoma, and he was drafted 4th overall by the Eagles in 2013.
On the other hand, Chelsea spent two years as a jumper and dabbled in the long jump. Notably, her dad John Goodman also played in the NFL, having played five seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Lane and Chelsea got married the same year they welcomed their son. In January 2017, the 31-year-old footballer commemorated their wedding anniversary in a post on Twitter writing:
“4 years with this beauty! Love you, Chelsea!”
A DAUGHTER JOINS THE FAMILY
The post was accompanied by a green heart emoji and a throwback snapshot of the happy couple on their wedding day while on the dance floor.
In February 2016, they expanded their family when they welcomed their only daughter Journey Layne Johnson and Lane shared the exciting news on Twitter along with a picture of him and his little princess tweeting:
“#EaglesNation – Welcome your newest Eagle, Journey Layne Johnson, to the world! Mom and daughter are both healthy.”
Chelsea and Lane then decided to give their son David and daughter Journey a little brother and welcomed their third child in March 2019.
Once again, he took to social media to announce the news along with a photo of the father and son with the proud dad flashing as he revealed his newborn was named Channing McCoy Johnson.
