Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce
Taylor Swift’s fans couldn’t get enough of the love that was on display during the pop star’s fourth consecutive Eras Tour show in Paris on Sun., May 12.
The show was a special one for Swift, whose NFL star boyfriend, Travis Kelce, was in the audience after traveling internationally to watch her perform. As many fans pointed out online, the concert was the 87th of the Eras Tour—the same number that Kelce plays on the Kansas City Chiefs.
In the days since the “Cruel Summer” singer’s tour resumed last week, Swifties have decoded many of the ways in which the singer incorporated sweet nods to Kelce within her revised performance, which she updated to include new music from her 11th studio album The Tortured Poets Department. Swift released the surprise double album on April 19, about halfway through the two-month break she took from touring.
During the May 12 show, Swift incorporated another less subtle nod to Kelce while onstage. In multiple video clips that quickly spread on social media, the “Lover” singer was filmed blowing kisses to the Chiefs tight end—a move that thrilled fans who gushed over the videos online.
In one video that began circulating on X, formerly Twitter, Swift stood onstage singing the chorus in “Blank Space.” Near the end of the video, which Swift fan accounts attributed to an X user named Lisa, Swift could be seen sending a kiss in Kelce’s direction as he danced along to her performance with friends inside the Paris La Défense Arena.
Another video that Swift fan accounts attributed to an X user named Jessie showed Swift blowing a kiss in Kelce’s direction during a performance of “So High School,” one of the songs from her new album. Many Swifties believe the song was written about Kelce, a theory the professional football player seemingly confirmed shortly after the album was released.
The two “are so in love,” one fan tweeted as another wrote that it looked like Swift “completely worships him.”
“Im dying they’re just the cutest,” one person tweeted.
“Her smile is everything,” another person wrote.
“This show will go down in the history,” one fan predicted.
