PHILADELPHIA Eagles offensive lineman Lane Johnson trimmed some of his NFL weight for his most recent career venture.
Johnson dove into the wring at WrestleMania with his former teammate Jason Kelce on Saturday to help Rey Mysterio capture a win.
However, Johnson knew he would have to show off during the event, and wanted to make sure he looked good in front of the fans.
To make sure he looked as good as possible, Johnson trimmed an impressive 15 pounds off his frame.
“I lost probably 15 pounds,” Johnson said.
“I knew about it for two weeks so I had about two weeks to cut the carbs out and lose the QB jacket.”
WrestleMania XL took place at Lincoln Financial Field, the home of the Eagles, so it made sense that some players would get involved in the action.
Kelce and Johnson were the perfect choices, as they have both proven themselves to be more than willing to go wild on any occasion.
Kelce did so well at the event that WWE reportedly extended an offer to bring him into the fold.
Many within the organization, including The Miz, think Kelce would fit in well with WWE with his fan-favorite personality.
“It seems like a home run to me,” The Miz told TMZ.
“I’d train him into a superstar. I mean, as big a superstar he is in the NFL we’ll make him as big a superstar in WWE.”
Kelce and the WWE do seem like a good match, and fans have made it known they would love to see him continue in the promotion.
“Jason Kelce and the WWE is a match made in heaven,” one fan said.
“Jason kelce is my favorite wwe superstar,” another fan said.
“Need Jason Kelce to be the new Pat McAfee and take over the sports broadcasting/WWE corner,” a third fan said.
“Different sport, same awesomeness from Jason Kelce Would LOVE for the WWE to be his next chapter. That would be amazing,” a fourth fan said.
